The San Antonio Men’s Ministry at Messiah Bible Church embraces Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” IRON MEN delight in growing deep in God’s word, discipleship, fellowship and service. We meet weekly for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. We also have monthly and quarterly events throughout the year focused on corporate study, worship, and fellowship. Our year culminates in our annual IRON MEN Retreat. Come join your Brothers in Christ, as we seek God’s leading and the opportunity to reflect His love and grace.

The Men’s Ministry at Messiah Bible Church exists to equip and encourage men to grow in their relationship with Christ, develop strong, gospel-centered relationships, and lead with humility and integrity in their homes, church, and community. Through discipleship, fellowship, accountability, and service, we aim to cultivate godly men who live out their faith in everyday life.

Dig Deeper

Join us on Wednesday nights at 6pm for our "Dig Deeper" session, where we share a meal, pray, and dive into God’s Word. This time is dedicated to meaningful study, focusing on applying biblical truths to our daily lives. Come grow in faith, connect with others, and strengthen your walk with Christ in a welcoming community.

Accelerate

The Iron Men "Accelerate" meets monthly, giving men a chance to connect, grow, and serve together. Through fellowship, service projects, and shared experiences, we strengthen our faith and relationships. Whether at church or in the community, join us as we encourage one another in our walk with Christ.

Rally Up

Iron Men's "Rally Up" is a powerful quarterly event where men gather for corporate worship, fellowship, study, and service. It's a time to grow spiritually, build strong connections, and serve with purpose. Join us as we strengthen our faith and encourage one another in our walk with Christ.

Annual Retreat

The "Annual Retreat" is a highlight of the year—a chance to step away from daily routines and focus on faith. In a peaceful setting, we reflect, study God's Word, and praise His provision. This special time of renewal and fellowship strengthens our walk with Christ and deepens our connection with Him.

Jay Phillips

Jay guides the Men’s Ministry, Iron Men. His journey to Iron Men came through participation in Junior High Youth, Senior High Choir, Bible Study Fellowship as a Discussion Group Leader and many years shepherding a dedicated Adult Bible Fellowship. Jay is married to a wonderful, patient, and supporting wife, enjoys seeing his children and grandchildren grow and mature in their walk with Christ. God has gathered men at Messiah Bible Church with servants hearts, a sense of humor, and thirst for biblical application to their lives. Walking with the men of Messiah Bible Church, men who embrace Proverbs 27:17 is a true joy.
